ClassCam is built around one idea: only the people a teacher explicitly allows should ever be able to add to or view a classroom board — and a teacher should be able to cut off that access instantly, at any time, without asking anyone's permission.
Every classroom has its own private upload link, protected by a rotating PIN (also available as a QR code). Only people who currently have that PIN can add anything to your board.
If it's ever shared with the wrong person, a class period ends, or you just want a clean break — resetting the PIN takes one click. Anyone using the old PIN loses access immediately. There's no waiting period and nothing to undo; the moment you reset it, the previous one simply stops working.
The read-only student viewer (a Pro feature) is protected by a separate PIN from the upload PIN. Changing it immediately signs out everyone currently watching — anyone still using the old PIN is disconnected within seconds and has to re-enter the new one to continue watching.
In practice, this means a teacher can end a viewing session the same way they'd end a video call: change the PIN, and it's over for everyone, instantly.
Photos are automatically and permanently deleted no later than 90 minutes after they're uploaded. There's no archive, no history to review, and nothing for anyone — including us — to go back and look at later.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. ClassCam uses salted, iterated password hashing (PBKDF2), a standard designed specifically to resist exactly the kind of large-scale password-cracking attempts that plain hashing doesn't stop. Login sessions expire automatically and can be ended at any time by signing out.
Subscription payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses. ClassCam never sees or stores your full card number.
ClassCam runs on Cloudflare's global network, with encrypted (HTTPS) connections throughout.
